January 7 – January 10

I hope everyone had a Joyful and Blessed Christmas break. I want to thank everyone for the thoughtful gift given to me for Christmas. You all are wonderful. I also want to thank Mrs. Lambert and Mrs. Loftin and all who helped with giving the children a great Christmas party. Thank you to Mrs. Daigrepont for her skills in putting the costumes together for the Christmas Program. Thank all of you again for all the gift cards, candy, and all the thoughtful and generous gifts you gave me. Thank you also for your support. You all are such a Blessing to me.

Well, back to school!

PreK 4 will be learning about the Letter “Cc.” We will be writing and sounding words that begin with “Cc.” PreK 4 will also be counting up to the number 13. Students can bring an item that starts with the “C” sound for Show & Tell. Keep reviewing letters and numbers. Thank you.

Our theme for the next few weeks is: The Five Senses: Sight, Smell, Touch, Hearing and Taste.

Our Bible story will be about Jesus’ boyhood. The Bible verse is James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.”

Hope everyone is enjoying your weekend. This is our last week before the Christmas Holiday and Winter break.

PreK 4 will be reviewing and Testing this week. Letter sounds and recognition for A, E, I, O, U ,B, H, L, M, N, S, T and numbers 0 – 12.

We are still reading about Christmas, and our theme is also Christmas for this week.

Our Bible Verse is I John 4:8, “God is Love.”

Thursday is pajama day!!

Also, our Christmas Party is on Thursday at 2:00.

VCA will have the Christmas Program on Friday, December 20th at 9:00 a.m. School dismissal on Friday is at 12:00 noon.

Time is moving so fast. It is almost Christmas. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

PreK 4 will be continuing the Christmas story. Also, our theme is “Christmas” this week. The Bible verse for this week is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This week is Review week of the Letters and Sounds A, B, E, H, I, L, M, N, O, S, T, U and recognizing and counting numbers 0-12.

Students can bring in their favorite small toy for Show & Tell.

Christmas Program is next Friday, December 20th. Dismissal will be at noon.

PreK 4 will be learning the Letter “Ss” by writing and sounding out the letter. We will also be counting to twelve 12. Our theme this week is “Winter.”

Our Bible Verse is Matthew 28:20, “Lo, I am with you always.” We will review some of the Old Testament stories this week.

We will also review letters and numbers because Report Cards will be issued after Christmas.

Class pictures will be on 12/4 and Christmas Boutique will be on 12/6.

November 18 – November 22

Hope everyone had a blessed weekend. Thanksgiving is swiftly arriving. Pre K 4 will have a Thanksgiving party on Friday.

This week we will continue to learn about the first Thanksgiving for our Bible story. Our Theme this week is also about Thanksgiving.

The Bible Memory Verse is Exodus 20:12, “Honor thy father and thy mother.”

Pre K 4 will be learning the sound and practice writing the Letter “Hh.” We will also count up to and about the number 11 eleven.

Send in an item that starts with the Letter “Hh” sound 🐎, for Show & Tell. Keep reviewing the Letters “A, B, E, H, I, L, M, N, O, T, U and numbers 0-11. Also, read Bible Memory verses to your children that we have been learning. Thank you for all you are doing with your children.

Student of the Week is Leah Washington.

In December, we will be having a Christmas Program. PreK 4 will be in a Nativity scene. If you have any extra plain colored flat sheets and pillow cases that we could have, we need them to make the costumes. Thank you for your help.

November 11 – November 15

Hope everyone enjoyed disguising a turkeyπŸ¦ƒ. The children enjoyed sharing them with the class. Everyone did an awesome job.

This week our theme is “Thanksgiving.”

The Pre k 4 class will be learning about the Letter Mm and its sound at the beginning and end of a word. We will also continue writing their names along with this week’s letter and other letters. Our number for the week is ten 10. Keep reviewing letters and numbers. The students can bring an item that starts with the Letter “M” πŸ’ for Show and Tell.

The Bible Story this week is about the first Thanksgiving. Bible Memory verse for this week is I Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

Student of the week is Emilio Correa.

Remember to send in the Operation Christmas Child items for the shoe box to help a child in need. (Items were listed on an orange sheet that was sent home in folders last week) Thanks😊

November 4 – November 8 πŸ¦ƒ

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather has been nice. I hope that all of you got a chance to enjoy it.

Pre K 4 will be learning the Letter “N” writing the Letter and learning the sound with words that begin and end with the “N” sound. Our number this week is nine 9. Also, the color of the week is pink.

Please continue to review the Letters and numbers.

Our theme this week is “Autumn and Birds.”

Our Bible story is about Jonah. The Bible verse is Matthew 8:27, “Even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

The student of the week is Khloe Levett. We have a birthday this week which is Henry Sowell on November 5th.πŸŽ‚

October 28 – October 31 🐝

The Red Barn arrived last week, and everyone enjoyed all the animals.

This week Pre-K 4 will be learning about the letter “B” sound and writing the upper and lowercase letters. The color for the week is black, and our number we will be working on is “8.” For Show & Tell, the students can bring in something that starts with a “B” sound. It is good to review past letters and numbers with your child, and it is always important to read to them.

Our theme for this week is “Pumpkins.”

Our Bible story is about Esther.

Bible verse for the week is I John 3:23 “Love one another.”

Student of the week is Alexis Ursin.

On Thursday, October 31st, there will be “Celebration of Life” starting at 6:00 p.m. There will be a lot for the children to enjoy. There will be bouncy houses, pony rides, games, candy… It is free except if you buy refreshments. Hope you are able to come and enjoy.

October 21 – October 25

Thank you for attending the Parent/Teacher conference on Friday. Also, a big thank you to all that helped with cooking and bringing lunch for the teachers that day.

Pre-K 4 will be learning about the Letter “L” writing the upper and lowercase along with the sound “L” makes. We will be reviewing the past letters and numbers.

The number for this week is seven 7 and the color to learn is brown.

Our theme for the week is “Fall and Leaves.”

The Bible Story is about Daniel. Our Bible Verse is Luke 11: 28 “Blessed are they that hear the Word of God, and keep it.”

The student if the week is Sophia Teixeira.

Red Barn at school field trip is on Monday, October 21st unless it rains again then it will be rescheduled.

October 14 – October 18

Wow! It is already the end of the first quarter of school. Hope everyone is having a blessed weekend with this pretty weather.

Our Pre-K class will be starting with consonants. The Letter “T” is this week’s letter. We will be writing it and using it’s sound. Also, we will be working on counting six and the color green.

Students can bring in an item that starts with the “T” sound.

Our Bible Verse is Psalm 118:1 “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good.” We will also read about the Bible stories of Elijah and Naaman.

Our theme is “Fall.”

Keep reviewing vowels letters, colors, and numbers 0-5 from 1st 9 weeks.

On Friday, October 18th, it is Parent/Teacher conference. The office has the sign up sheet for that day.
