Hope everyone enjoyed Grandparents Day on Friday and had a great weekend.

This week Pre-K 4 will be learning more about the Letter Aa. How to write it and its long and short sounds. We are also working on the color red, the shape of a rectangle, and the number 4.

Your child can bring “show and tell” for the Letter Aa.

Our theme for the week is “Community Helpers.” If you know of a Community Helper that would like to spend a few minutes with our class discussing what they do. Drop us a note of a date and time you are able to come, and we will get back with you.

Our Bible Verse for this week is Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my Shepherd.”

Our student of the week last week was James Oldendorf. Sorry James, I forgot to write it last week.

August 26 – August 30

Pre-K 4 will be starting to learn Bible verses. Their first one for this week is Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.”

We will continue with “All About Me” by talking about our pets. Your child can send in a picture of his/her pet so that it can be shared with the class. Your child will be able to share and talk about their pet in front of the class. If your child does not have a pet, he/she can send a picture of a pet that he/she may want one day and share with the class.

We will be reading stories about pets and reading the story of creation this week.

Pre-K 4 will also trace his/her name to advance to writing it on their own if they have not done so yet.

Have a Blessed week!

News Letter for the week of August 19th

Pre-K 4 had their first Chapel meeting today. They participated in praise & worship and listen to some teachers speak about their favorite scripture.

We are still working on “All About me” posters and talking about their favorite things in class.

We will start with a Bible verse to memorize next week. We will begin letters and numbers after Labor Day weekend.

Have a Blessed week!!

August 15, 2019

This week is almost over.  I cannot believe it went so fast.  Your children have been learning some things this week needed for building a good year such as, lining up, moving in centers, listening, and socializing with each other in the correct manner.  These will be ongoing through the year as we start with our school curriculum.

If you have not sent in the Student Emergency Contact sheet that was in the Open House packet, please send it in as soon as possible.  Also, the students brought home an “All About Me” page to be filled out and please attach a picture to it.  Please send it in by Tuesday, August 20th so that your children can share his/her favorite things with the class.

This has been a really nice start to an exciting year ahead.

God Bless,

Miss Carla
